Love it or hate it there is a Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters sequel apparently in the pipeline.
The movie hit the big screen last month and was a new take on the popular tale which saw Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as a brother and sister witch killing team.
Hansel and Gretel may have topped the U.S. box office but it grossed just over $54 million at the end of its domestic run.
However the movie has had a much bigger box office pull overseas bringing in over $150 million.
The movie was made on a budget of $50 million and it seems that a $205 million return is enough to see a possible sequel.
It is not clear if Renner and Arterton would return to the title roles but the end of the first film was left wide open for another film.
Tommy Wirkola wrote and directed the film and similarly it is not clear if he will be making a return.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters may not be the greatest movie that you will see this year but it really was a lot of fun.
I think it is going to be my guilty pleasure of the year.
