Gwyneth Paltrow will appear in 'Captain America: Civil War'.
Paltrow's Marvel character Pepper Potts will be seen in the eagerly-awaited new film directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo.
The star first appeared as Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 2008's hit 'Iron Man', and slots in its two sequels swiftly followed, as well as the first 'Avengers' movie.
Potts last appeared in 2013's 'Iron Man 3' but did not feature in last year's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
Her appearances have seen her progress being Tony Stark's secretary to the CEO of Stark Industries to Tony's love interest.
'Captain America: Civil War' will focus on Steve Rogers - played by Chris Evans - struggle with Tony Stark and their combative relationship.
The movie follows on from 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', in which he was betrayed by S.H.I.E.L.D., and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', where he discovered his allies are capable of duplicity.
Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson is to reprise her role as Black Widow, and Sebastian Stan will be back as the Winter Soldier.
Chadwick Boseman will also make his first appearance as Black Panther in the new film, which is based on the Marvel Comics event Civil War that saw Iron Man and Captain America go to war over the proposed enforced registration of superheros.
'Captain America: Civil War' is set for release on April 29.
