Guy Ritchie will produce 'Judgement Day'.
Ritchie is set to take on the action-thriller with fellow producers Lionel Wigram and Jeff Ludwig and Warner Bros. have acquired the rights to title.
Though few plot details have been revealed, the movie is believed to revolve around an "end of days" story, according to Variety.
Argentinean writer Matias Caruso - who received plaudits for his break-out project 'Carnival' last year and follow up 'Mayhem,' starring Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving - has penned the script.
A cast and further news on when production will start are yet to be announced however, Ritchie - who is married to Jacqui Ainsley - is currently in post-production on 'King Arthur: The Knights of the Round Table.'
The movie, starring Charlie Hunnam in the titular role and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere as well as Jude Law, Djimon Honsou and Katie McGrath, was due out in July but has been pushed back to February next year (2017).
Elsewhere, the 47-year-old director is set to witness his hit film 'Snatch' transformed into a 10 episode television series by Sony's TV streaming service Crackle.
It will be inspired by Ritchie's 2000 heist movie and centre on a group of young men who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.
Rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains will make up the action.
