Guy Pearce has been cast in 'Equals' alongside Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult in the forthcoming dystopia drama.
Pearce is set to star opposite 'Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult in the romance which is set in a future dystopia, reports The Wrap.
Pearce is set to reunite with 'Breathe In' director Drake Doremus who is helming the project with a script by Nathan Parke.
Ridley Scott is producing, alongside Michael Schaefer, Ann Ruark, and Jay Stern and Chip Diggins of Route One which is also financing.
Mike Pruss, Lee Jea Woo, Choi Pyung Ho and Russell Levine are on board to executive produce.
The picture is set in a future society where emotions have been eradicated and the new breed of humans is called Equals, however a disease begins to spread and there is fear this will disrupt the peaceful society.
When Silas (Hoult) is infected he notices Nia (Stewart) understands what he is battling, and they both try and hide their real emotions before they realise that to survive they'll need to escape.
'Equals' will begin shooting in August in Japan and Singapore.
