Guillermo Del Toro is already working on a Pacific Rim sequel.
The filmmaker returned to the director's chair over the weekend as Pacific Rim hit the big screen; it was his first movie since 2008.
And while it may have only just had its opening weekend Del Toro reveals that he is already thinking about a future project.
Speaking to the Press Association he said: "We do have a story for the sequel. We are working on it."
The movie starred Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba as they use robots to help fight off an alien invasion.
Quite when the Pacific Rim sequel will go ahead is unclear as Del Toro has Crimson Peak and Pinocchio in the pipeline.
Crimson Peak will see the director reunite with Hunnam, while Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain are also on the cast list.
Pacific Rim opened at number three at the U.S. box office behind Despicable Me 2 and Grown Ups 2.
