Having sold over 400 million books across the globe, R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps will make a return to the big screen later this year with Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, from director Ari Sandel. Starring the likes of Madison Iseman, Ken Jeong, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Caleel Harris, the comedy looks set to entertain both long-time fans of the series and newcomers this October. Check out the first trailer for the flick, as well as a selection of images and a new poster below:
Written by Rob Lieber, Goosebumps 2 will also see Jack Black reprise his role from the previous movie, as audiences are transported to the small town of Wardenclyffe on Halloween night.
There, two youngsters (Taylor and Harris) wander around an abandoned house once owned by R. L. Stine, finding a manuscript titled Haunted Halloween. With their curiosity getting the better of them, they open it up, unknowingly releasing Slappy (Black) who’s planning to cause a Halloween Apocalypse with some familiar monster faces.
Sonny (Taylor) and Sam (Harris) must join Sonny’s sister Sarah (Iseman) in a bid to stop Slappy from taking over Halloween, or the world could be changed forever.
The movie sounds like a chaotic but fun one for kids and adults alike. It may be the perfect family outing ahead of Halloween this October, and we can’t wait to see just what it has to offer when it makes its way to the big screen.
Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween comes to cinemas across the UK on October 12, 2018.
