Gerard Butler is a bit of a favourite here at FemaleFirst and he is set to return to the big screen with Gods of Egypt.
Gods of Egypt is set to be an action-adventure and I cannot wait to see Butler in action for what is already promising to be a must-see movie.
Butler is joined on the cast list by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Set and Horus and the duo are set to go head to head. This is more of a villainous role for Butler - something that we don't usually see him tackle.
The brand new trailer for the film has arrived... I have to say, I am looking forward to this one already:
A great cast has been assembled for Gods of Egypt as Butler and Coster-Waldau are joined by Brenton Thwaites, Geoffrey Rush, Rufus Sewell, Courtney Eaton, and Abbey Lee.
The movie also marks the return of Alex Proyas to the director's chair for his first feature film since Knowing back in 2009.
The survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero Bek (Thwaites) undertakes a thrilling journey to save the world.
In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful and vengeful god Horus (Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against Set (Butler), the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt's throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict.
As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the epic final confrontation.
Gods of Egypt is released 2016.
