Gerard Butler has landed a role in Den of Thieves.
Variety.com have reported that Butler is aboard the Christian Gudegast directed film, which follows a legendary bank heist crew decides to rob the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles right under the nose of a rogue sheriff's deputy.
The movie will mark the feature film directorial debut for Gudegast: he has teamed up with Paul Scheuring to pen the screenplay.
There is still no word as to what role Butler will play in the film.
We haven't seen Butler on the big screen since action film Olympus Has Fallen: a role he is set to reprise in London Has Fallen with Aaron Eckhart.
However, he will be back voicing the character of Stoick the Vast in summer animation film How To Train Your Dragon 2.
This new project come just a week after it was revealed Butler has pulled out of the remake of Point Break.
