George MacKay says it has been a very exciting twelve months for him as an actor.
MacKay has starred in the likes of Sunshine On Leith and How I Live Now in 2013, and was in the mix for the EE Rising Star award at the weekend.
We caught up with the actor on the red carpet to chat about the success of the last twelve months and his nomination.
"It has been great. It has been very exciting. It has taught me a lot of and has made me aware of all kinds of different elements of the job that we do, and I can hopefully carry on doing.
"I am just so flattered, excited and humbled to be involved in the group; just to be nominated is wonderful. I am really chuffed."
MacKay was one of two British actors in the running for the Bafta at the weekend; Will Poulter did go on to scoop the award.
And we are going to be seeing plenty more of MacKay on the big screen this year with Bypass and Pride set for release.
Bypass sees him team up with Duane Hopkins for his second feature film, while Pride sees him star with Bill Night and Dominic West.
