George Clooney "wanted to strangle" Britt Robertson.
The 54-year-old actor worked with the 25-year-old star on his new film 'Tomorrowland: A World Beyond' and said he felt like more of a child than her because "she's so talented".
Speaking at the film's European premiere at the Odeon cinema in London's Leicester Square, he told BANG Showbiz: "As you can imagine, I didn't care for the children ... Britt is an old pro, she's been doing this for a long time and she's incredibly talented and she's going to have a long and bright future ... I just wanted to strangle her she's so talented.
"They were all great. I was the kid and they were the adults."
The 'Gravity' star also revealed at the event he had been trying to work with the director Brad Bird for several years before the role finally came about, but was originally insulted by the part he had given him in the movie because he plays a "bitter has-been".
He said: "I wanted to work with Brad. We've been trying to work together for many years. He hasn't made a bad film. He's done 'Iron Gate' and 'The Incredibles'.
"He called me up and said, 'I have written a new part for you'. And then I read the description and it said a 55-year-old bitter has-been. I thought, 'You wrote that for me!?' But I read it and I thought this would be a good project to work on."
