Gemma Arterton reveals that she really loved the physical aspect of new film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and enjoyed working with the stunt team.
The British actress is back on the big screen this week as she teams up with Jeremy Renner for a new take on the popular take of Hansel and Gretel.
The pair take on the title roles in a film that is set years after the original story where they are hunting down witches.
This is the most physical role that Arterton has taken on in her career and it was one of the reasons why she wanted to be a part of it.
Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "I had to do lots of training because I'd never done anything like it and I absolutely loved it.
"It's one of the reasons I wanted to do the film because I've always wanted to punch people!"
"I came in before anybody else and worked with the stunt team in a kind of intensive boot camp. It was great because it really rooted me and made me more present in the action scenes."
This is the second weekend in a row that we will be seeing Arterton on the big screen after she starred in Song For Marion.
2013 is a busy year for the actress as we are also going to be seeing her in Byzantium and Runner Runner with Ben Affleck.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is released 27th February.
