Garrett Hedlund is no longer in the running to play Christian Grey, according to US Weekly.
Hedlund is just one of the actors that has been suggested for the role since it was announced that EL James' novel was to be adapted for the big screen.
But it seems that producers were not willing to allow the actor to sign on for just a single film.
US Weekly has reported that Hedlund has therefore turned down the project as three movies is too big a commitment.
It is also believed that Ian Somerhalder is also out of the equation, having been ruled out by the author herself.
The movie is set to hit the big screen next year and Sam Taylor-Wood is to be in the director's chair.
But we have had no announcement on the cast and just who will play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele remains a mystery.
Fifty Shades of Grey is set to hit the big screen in the UK on 1st august 2014.
