The movie has been dominating the box office and has now grossed in excess of $506 million.
Frozen becomes the fourth Disney movie to achieve this feat in 2013 with Monsters University, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World also reaching that box office milestone.
Wreck It Ralph kicked off 2013 in fine style for Disney taking $471 million, and Frozen has continued and eclipsed that success.
The movie saw Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck team up for the first time in the director's chair: Lee became the first woman to ever direct a Disney movie.
Frozen is already in the running for a string of Annie Awards and a Golden Globe, and is expected to pick up an Best Animated Feature Oscar nomination.
Frozen has surpassed the $504,050 total of Aladdin and is closing in on $591,794 total of Tangled: the second highest grossing Disney animated movie of all time.
