Francis Lawrence says The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is very different to the first movie.
Lawrence takes over the director's chair for the second film in The Hunger Games franchise; which is set to be one of the biggest movies of the year.
Speaking to Total Film the director said: "This one’s very, very different. The arena’s much more active.
"And the movie’s about different things, thematically; it’s about the beginning of rebellion, and Kat is becoming a symbol, and there’s much more love story.
The director reveals that we are also going to see a very different Katniss this time around: "She’s been in the games, and so we had a lot of discussions about what that means, how one can be haunted by taking part in violent acts and witnessing violent things."
Simon Beaufoy and Michael Arndt have penned the screenplay this time around.
Jennifer Lawrence is back as Katniss Everdeen, while Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Claflin and Jena Malone are some of the new faces to watch out for.
The movie is going to premiere at the Rome Film Festival for an out of competition screening.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released 21st November.
