Francis Lawrence has dropped a hint as to how we may see The Hunger Games franchise brought to a close.

Lawrence has taken over the director's chair from Gary Ross for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and he is set to film both Mockingjay films.

Mockingjay is the third and final of Suzanne Collins' novels, but it will be split into two movies.

Speaking to MTV News about bringing the franchise to a close, Lawrence said: "A very small, minimal scene of Katniss hunting."

Catching Fire sees Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark plunged back into the Hunger Games as they are forced to compete in the Quarter Quell.

We are going to see a whole new arena this time around with thirty minutes of arena scenes in IMAX.

But Lawrence has also revealed that the third film will not do this. "We're doing something different because the story is different. We're going for a different kind of feeling."

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire looks set to be one of the biggest films of the year and it has been predicted that it could gross close to $1 billion at the global box office.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released 21st November.
