Based on a true story comes upcoming comedy film Tag, from Warner Bros. and starring some big names including Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, and Jeremy Renner. This week, a first look trailer for the movie has been released, promising a lot of laughs when the flick eventually hits the big screen in July. You can check it out below:
Tag tells the story of five highly competitive friends who come together for one month every year, doing their best to take one another down in a no-holds-barred game of tag that they’ve been playing since their childhood. Not only risking their jobs and their relationships, the game pushes them to their very limits and sometimes even puts them in danger, but it’s a tradition that none of the five are ever willing to give up!
When we join the group, they realise that their only undefeated target throughout the years is having their wedding day within the same month that the game is set to take place. Making him an easier target than ever before, the group feels confident in their ability to finally knock him off his perch, but with his foresight, he still may prove trickier to track down than ever before.
Directed by Jeff Tomsic, Tag also stars Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones, Leslie Bigg, and Hannibal Buress, alongside Helms, Hamm, and Renner.
Rob McKittrick and Mark Steilen are responsible for writing the film’s screenplay, from a story by Mark Steilen and based on Wall Street Journal article It Takes Planning, Caution to Avoid Being It, by Russell Adams.
Tag comes to cinemas across the UK on July 6, 2018.
