First Macbeth Trailer

Macbeth was the movie that everyone was talking about last month at Cannes and the first trailer for the movie has arrived.

The movie received its premiere at Cannes in May, where it was met with critical acclaim - it is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender.

Michael Fassbender will return to the title role in what looks set to be another fantastic and intense performance from the Oscar nominated actor. Could this see him bag his first Best Actor Oscar nomination? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.

This first trailer promises to be a dark and gritty adaptation of the William Shakespeare classic and we have it for you to take a look at:

Oscar winner Marion Cotillard will star alongside Fassbender as Lady Macbeth, while David Thewlis, Elizabeth Debicki, Jack Reynor, Sean Harris, and Paddy Considine complete the cast list.

Justin Kurzel returns to the director's chair for the first time since he made his dbeut with Snowtown back in 2011 - I really can't wait to see him put his own stamp on this tale. This will be the first time that he has teamed up with Fassbender but, they are about to work together again on Assassin's Creed.

A thrilling interpretation of the dramatic realities of the times and a reimagining of what wartime must have been like for one of literature's most famous and compelling characters, a story of all-consuming passion and ambition set in war torn Scotland.

The autumn film season is set to be an incredibly exciting one with a whole host of terrific movies on the horizon. Macbeth is set to be one of them and is one that you really cannot miss.
