Recently, actor Dwayne Johnson released a Tweet stating that he will be starring in new Netflix feature, titled Red Notice, along with Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds.
All three stars are incredibly popular, which could have something to do with their superhero alter egos... Gadot has played the iconic DC character Wonder Woman since her solo film in 2017; she also portrayed Gisele in the Fast and Furious franchise from 2009 to 2013.
Reynolds is known for his comedic and witty personality, which comes through in every role he plays. He is known for playing the ‘merc with a mouth’, Deadpool, as well as other hilarious roles such as Michael Bryce in The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel.
Johnson’s franchise tie is with the Fast and Furious films as Luke Hobbs, with his first appearance being in the fifth film in 2011. His new role in DC film Black Adam as the titular character has everyone excited; other roles include Doctor Bravestone in the Jumanji films, and Bob Stone in Central Intelligence.
Red Notice will be streaming on Netflix on November 12th, 2021. Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service, with 208 million paid memberships, and over 190 countries are able to enjoy TV series, documentaries, feature films and more across a wide variety of genres and languages.
The logline for the movie states that an Interpol-issued Red Notice sparks a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. However, when a risky heist brings together the FBI’s best profiler (Johnson) and two professional criminals (Gadot and Reynolds), it’s anyone’s guess at how this could play out.
The movie will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and, by the photo alone, looks to be a classy, hilarious action film that will have everyone logging into Netflix this November to check it out.
The first look photo sees our three main characters all dressed up and looking smart, in what appears to be a museum or art gallery; this may be the heist where the trio meet. We are very excited to see more photos and a trailer, which will hopefully be revealed in the coming weeks.
Johnson and Reynolds shared a brief scene together in the 2019 spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, in which Reynolds played a friend of Hobbs, but has a few issues with attatchment...
The banter in this short scene was brilliant, so we can’t wait to see what they, and Gadot, bring to the table in the upcoming feature.
Red Notice will be available on Netflix from November 12th, 2021!
