2014 is a quiet year for Pixar, but we do have the first image from a brand new short film Lava.
Lava is set to play in front of Inside Out next year, and the first image for the movie has been revealed by the LA Times.
Lava is directed by James Ford Murphy, and will premiere at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan next month.
This is the directorial debut for Murphy, who has worked in the animation department on the likes of Ratatouille, Cars, and The Incredibles.
Pixar have made some terrific short films over the years, and Lava looks set to be another must see gem.
Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, 'Lava' is a musical love story that takes place over millions of years.
Inside Out is just one of the Pixar projects that we will be treated to next year, as The Good Dinosaur is also set for release.
Inside Out is released 31st July 2015.
