Paddy Considine is set to return to the director's chair with his second feature film Journeyman, a project that is now in post-production. The first image for the film has been released featuring Considine himself.
It was back in 2011 when Considine may his feature film directorial debut with Tyrannosaur - which was one of the best debuts of that year.
Finally, he is back in the director's chair with Journeyman, a project that he has also written and will star in. Diarmid Scrimshaw is also on board to produce the film.
Considine is set to take on the central role of boxer Matty Burton and is joined on the cast list by Jodie Whittaker, Anthony Welsh, Tony Pitts, and Paul Popplewell.
The movie filmed in Sheffield, Leicester and Doncaster for six weeks earlier this year and is now in the post-production stage.
Journeyman tells the story of middleweight boxing champion Matty Burton. As he approaches the end of his career he knows that he must make his money and get out of the game, to secure a home and future with his wife and baby daughter. After a titanic fight with the brash and controversial Andre Bryte, Matty collapses on his living room floor, a delayed reaction to a devastating punch. Waking from the coma, the real fight begins.
Suffering from memory loss and with his personality altered, Matty must begin to piece his life back together as his world disintegrates. Journeyman is a powerful and beautiful story about loss and, ultimately, triumph. It's about our identity, and how in life we sometimes have to dig deep into our soul to discover who we really are.
