Deepwater Horizon is just one of the movies that we will be seeing Mark Wahlberg star in this year as he reunites with filmmaker Peter Berg.

The movie sees Berg back in the director's chair for his first feature film since Lone Survivor back in 2013, which saw him work with the Oscar-nominated actor.
Matthew Michael Carnahan and Matthew Sand have also joined forces to pen the film's screenplay. The movie is set on the offshore drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, which exploded in April 2010 and created the worst man-man oil spill in U.S. history.
Wahlberg is set to take on the central role of Mike Williams and is joined on the cast list by Kurt Russell, Kate Hudson, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, and Dylan O'Brien.
