With a restored faith in humanity following Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act of sacrifice, Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) is teaming up in Justice League with Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to bring together a band of superheroes like never before. A newly awakened threat is causing trouble for the planet and the pair quickly realise they’ll need the help of all the metahumans they have information on if they’re to stand any chance of defeating them. With Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) also on their side, they may just save the world all over again. As part of New York Comic Con, a brand new trailer for the film has been revealed which you can now check out below:
Following on from the huge success of recent DCEU release Wonder Woman – which took in over $800 million in the worldwide box office – there are big expectations in place for Justice League, which not only has the appeal of the Dark Knight and the Amazon Goddess, but a variety of other heroes that millions have been begging to see on the big screen for some time.
The film is also one that’s been through a lot of changes, with Zack Snyder originally serving as director but ceding the film following a family tragedy. Despite that, he’ll still be credited as such and simply missed out on some of the re-workings of the movie after the original filming had wrapped.
Snyder worked with Chris Terrio on the film’s story, with Terrio and Joss Whedon collaborating on the screenplay. With so many big names and big ideas thrown into the mixing pot, Justice League certainly has the ability to be one of the most memorable and exciting superhero film releases of all time.
With drama, action and humour all coming together in this new trailer, it’s clear that this will be unlike any DCEU entry that has come before it. We can’t wait to see how it does upon release.
Justice League officially hits UK cinemas on November 17.
