Felicity Jones has called it an 'absolute privilege' to pick up a Golden Globe nomination for The Theory of Everything.
Jones picked up a Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for her performance as Jane Hawking in the biopic film, which sees her star alongside Eddie Redmayne.
Speaking about her nomination, Jones said: "I'm overjoyed to hear this news! It's a tremendous feeling to receive recognition for this film amongst a list of so many wonderful actors- an absolute privilege.
"The greatest thanks to the HFPA, and to Jane Hawking for entrusting me with performing her moving and inspirational life story."
This Golden Globe nod will mark the first of Jones' career and sees her nominated alongside Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Rosamund Pike and Julianne Moore.
The Theory of Everything sees Jones team up with director James Marsh for the first time, as he returns to a live action project for the first time since Shadow Dancer.
2015 is going to a very successful year for Jones, as we are also set to see her star in True Story and Autobahn, and she is currently filming A Monster Calls.
A Monster Calls is the latest film from director J.A. Bayona, and will follow a young boy who asks for the help of a tree monster to cope with his mother's terminal illness.
The Theory of Everything is released 1st January 2015.
