Filming has got underway on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is already a highly anticipated movie and is a story that is set in the Harry Potter universe and is created by writer J.K. Rowling.
The movie will mark the screenwriting debut of Rowling as she has adapted her own novel into a script. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will also mark the return of David Yates to the director's chair.
Yates is not stranger to the world created by Rowling, having directed four of the Harry Potter movies over the years. This will be his first feature film since the huge success of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 back in 2011.
2015 has already been a very busy year for Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and he is set to take on the central role of Newt Scamander in the film.
The actor will be joined on the cast list by Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, and Alison Sudol - Yates really has brought together a terrific bunch of actors.
The film is being produced by David Heyman, producer of all eight of the blockbuster Harry Potter features; J.K. Rowling; Steve Kloves; and Lionel Wigram.
We have already seen Redmayne star in Jupiter Ascending and The Theory of Everything so far this year - the latter earnt him his first Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking.
Redmayne has already filming The Danish Girl this year, which sees him take on the role of Einar Wegener/Lili Elbe - a transgender pioneer. Redmayne is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender for this role.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is released 18th November 2016.
