Famke Janssen says that she wants to return to the X-Men franchise as Jean Grey.
We first saw the actress take on this role in X-Men back in 2000 before going on to appear in X2, The Last Stand and a small cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
However, it will be a younger Jean Grey that we will see in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and she will be played by Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.
While Janssen says that she would like to return to the franchise, she is a little annoyed that some of her male co-stars have had the chances to star in the film series.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Radio, the actress said: "In the X-Men series, they've been doing this for years. Although women, it's interesting because they're replaced, and the older versions - or more mature, whatever the politically correct version of that is - are never to be seen again. Whereas the men are allowed to be both ages. Sexism.
"I think that I should be back along with my younger version and the way that we've seen it with Magneto and Professor X."
X-Men: Apocalypse sees Bryan Singer back in the director's chair for what will be his fourth X-Men movie and his first since the success of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Sophie Turner is not the only new face that we are going to see on the cast list as Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Kodi Smit-McPhee will play younger versions of Cyclops, Storm, and Nightcrawler. Oscar Isaac is also on board in the title role of Apocalypse.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Evan Peters will reprise their roles as Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Beast, and Quicksilver.
As for Janssen, we are going to see her back on the big screen later this year with This is Your Death and Going Under.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 18th May.
