Ezra Miller has called the Flash television series 'awesome' and insists that there is no competition between himself and Grant Gustin.
Miller is set to take over the title role of The Flash when the movie comes to the big screen - even though Gustin has already established the character on television.
But Miller reveals that he is not avoiding the series and is a big fan of the new show.
Speaking to MTV News, Miller said: "I'm not avoiding [the TV series], I'm not avoiding it at all - I think it's awesome. Come on, we're The Flash! It's parallel universes! Grant Gustin is The Flash and I'm The Flash - don't you see?
"It's the Event Horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chilling. We're gonna have a race - it's gonna be dope! Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day!"
The Flash is not set to hit the big screen until 2018 and a director has yet to be linked to the film project. Miller is the only name that has currently been announced on the cast list.
However we are set to see Miller make a very brief appearance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice next year.
Miller is one of the most exciting young actors working in Hollywood and has made his name with roles in We Need to Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
He will return to the big screen this summer in comedy Trainwreck, which sees him star alongside Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. The movie will mark the return of Judd Apatow to the director's chair.
The actor has also been cast in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is an adaptation of the J.K. Rowling novel of the same name and sees David Yates in the director's chair. Eddie Redmayne is also on the cast list alongside Miller.
The Flash is set to be released in the U.S. on 23rd March 2018 - a UK release date is yet to be announced.
