Ezra Miller has revealed that he turned down a role in Kill Your Darlings as he didn't want to get type cast.
The actor was offered the part of Lucien Carr in the film but Ezra turned it down because he had already played a killer and a gay character in his last two movies.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I was offered a role in Kill Your Darlings. Lucien Carr was a gay murderer.
"And having just played a murderer and someone who was gay, I thought it would be the ultimate pigeon-holing manoeuvre if I was to play him."
Kill Your Darlings is directed by John Krokidas and stars Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan - the role of Carr eventually going to the latter.
We Need To Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being A Wallflower are two of Miller's roles that have really put him on the map in the last couple of years.
His next project Madame Bovary will see him team up with Paul Giamatti and Mia Wasikowska.
