Everest will see Baltasar Kormákur return to the director's chair for the first time since 2 Guns, as he teams up with actor Jake Gyllenhaal for the first time.
Gyllenhaal is set to lead an all-star cast as Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, Jason Clarke, Robin Wright, and Keira Knightley are all also on board.
