Quicksilver on the run was one of the best moments in X-Men: Days of Future Past and actor Evan Peters is promising an even bigger moment this time around.
Peters is one of the familiar faces returning for X-Men: Apocalypse as he reprises the role of the super-swift Quicksilver.
The slow-mo moments of Quicksilver running while trying to free Magneto was one of the most memorable moments from the previous film and Peters reveals that they have been working on a whole new sequence for the character.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It's bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together. Just filming it, I was like, 'Oh, my god!' I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing.
"It's so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it's going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it."
X-Men: Apocalypse sees Peters reunite with filmmaker Bryan Singer as well as actors James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Jennifer Lawrence.
X-Men: Apocalypse is already one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2016 after the huge critical and commercial success of Days of Future Past last year. I really cannot wait to see what Singer and co deliver this time around.
As for Peters, he can currently be see in television series American Horror Story. He has also completed work on movie Elvis & Nixon, which stars Kevin Spacey, Michael Shannon, Alex Pettyfer, and Colin Hanks.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 19th May 2016.
