Etan Cohen will direct new Will Ferrell comedy 'Get Hard'.
The screenwriter - whose credits include 'Men in Black 3' - will make his directorial debut helming the new caper starring Ferrell and comedian Kevin Hart, according to Variety.
The film centres on an investment banker who is sentenced to prison for a crime he didn't commit and tries to toughen up before he begins his stretch by seeking advice from the man who washes his car.
Warner Bros. is producing the comedy, which is expected to be rushed into production later this year in order to accommodate Ferrell and Hart's busy schedules.
Cohen is best known for writing the scripts for last year's alien adventure blockbuster starring Will Smith and Ben Stiller comedy, 'Tropic Thunder'.
The screenwriter-turned-director appears to be enjoying a good working relationship with star Ferrell, as he will also direct him in another new comedy, 'Daddy's Home'.
Ferrell is currently preparing for the release of 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues', which will see him reprise his famous role as newscaster Ron Burgundy, first seen in 2004's 'Anchorman'.
Meanwhile, stand-up comedian Hart stars in US improv comedy show 'The Real Husbands of Hollywood', which takes the form of a spoof reality show.
