Emily Browning says it was exciting to return to the set of a big Hollywood movie after working on a series of indie projects.
The actress is set to star alongside Kit Harington and Kiefer Sutherland in disaster movie Pompeii in the new year; her first blockbuster role since Sucker Punch.
Speaking to Collider the actress said: "I spent last year making all kind of tiny indie films, which I loved doing, but coming back here it was like ‘oh yeah this is like, a big Hollywood movie’ you know the sets are all epic and huge.
"Yeah its kind of fun having all these big greased up muscly dudes walking around as well."
Pompeii will also see Browning team up with filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson for the first time as he returns to the director's chair.
2013 has been a busy year for Browning as we have seen her star in the likes of Plush and Summer In February.
She has also completed work on God Help The Girl with Hannah Murray and Pierre Boulanger.
Pompeii is released 21st February 2014.
