Elizabeth Olsen has described Scarlet Witch as one 'messed up lady'.
It was FINALLY announced this week that Elizabeth Olsen had indeed landed the role of Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron - something that we had all known for quite some time.
And the actress is free to now talk about the role and admits that she is excited at the prospect of exploring a very complicated character.
Speaking to Moviefone the actress said:"I just love Scarlet Witch. I love her. It’s so funny because I’m often talking about all these psychologically damaged people, but when you talk about Scarlet Witch... She is a messed up lady. She has got more sh*t to deal with than anybody else I know.
"I’m excited to figure out what’s appropriate to use for her, because there’s so much material from all of these decades, and we’re going to tell this one story.
"So to be able to choose what you’re going to bring into it from all of this abundance, it’s really fun."
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will see Olsen reunite with Godzilla co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, as he is set to be play her sibling Quicksilver.
Age of Ultron will mark the first time that we have seen these two characters in a Marvel film.
The duo will join they already established stars of Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner as they are all set to return.
Filming will get underway next year and The Avenger: Age of Ultron will be released summer 2015.
