Elizabeth Debicki has joined the cast of 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'
'The Great Gatsby' actress - who played Jordan Baker in Baz Luhrmann's opulent adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel - will star alongside Armie Hammer, Henry Cavill and Alicia Vikander in Guy Ritchie's new blockbuster, reports Variety.
The up-and-coming star reportedly impressed producers enough to offer her the role as a femme fatale character in the action movie, having previously considered Charlize Theron and 'Bridesmaids' actress Rose Byrne for the part.
The film is based on the 1960s TV show of the same name and follows two agents who work for the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) as they fight the evil agents of rival organisation, Thrush.
'Man of Steel' actor Cavill and 'The Lone Ranger' star Armie Hammer will play the lead roles, while Swedish actress Vikander is being lined up to play a British U.N.C.L.E. agent with an interest in fast cars.
As well as directing, Ritchie - whose previous films include 'Rocknrolla' - will produce along with Lionel Wigram and John Davis.
Tom Cruise was originally set to star alongside Hammer in the flick but dropped out of his role in order to concentrate on his upcoming fifth 'Mission: Impossible' movie.
