Elizabeth Banks has revealed that a third Pitch Perfect movie is a possibility.
Banks made her feature film directorial debut earlier this summer with Pitch Perfect 2, taking over from Jason Moore who was behind the first film in 2012.
Pitch Perfect 2 was one of the most anticipated films of the summer and has enjoyed huge success worldwide and was a #1 hit in both the U.S. and the UK.
And Banks reveals that they are already considering a third film, however, those plans are in the very early stages.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the director said: "We're thinking about it, we're thinking about it very seriously," the actress told Access Hollywood.
"Of course we're at the very beginning of that process. We would love to spend more time with these characters that everyone's fallen so hard in love with."
As well as being in the director's chair for Pitch Perfect 2, Banks also reprised the role of Gail alongside Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, and Alexis Knapp.
Pitch Perfect 2 has grossed over $249 million at the global box office so far - eclipsing the $115 million grossed worldwide by its predecessor.
As for Banks, she will be back on the big screen this summer in Magic Mike XXL and alongside John Cusack in Love & Mercy. She will also be reprising the role of Effie Trinket one last time in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 later this year.
Pitch Perfect 2 is out now.
