Eddie Redmayne has revealed that he had considered quitting acting for fear of being 'found out'.
However, it is a good thing that Redmayne did not walk away from acting as he scooped the Best Actor, Drama Golden Globe over the weekend for The Theory of Everything.
When asked by OK! magazine if he has considered quitting acting, he said: "Very often, yeah. You always think you're going to be found out.
"Because you're doing this thing you did as a kid and you enjoy it so much, sometimes you think, maybe I should just leave now. It's a bit of a drug, it's very addictive."
Redmayne saw off Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Steve Carell and Jake Gyllenhaal to scoop his first Golden Globe for the Stephen Hawking biopic. He has also picked up nominations at the Screen Actors Guild and Bafta Awards and looks set to pick up an Oscar nod later this week.
The Theory of Everything is one of the most critically successful movies of 2015 so far, and follows the relationship between Hawking and his first wife Jane after meeting at university.
This is the first time we have seen Redmayne on the big screen since Les Miserables and this is set to be the movie and the role that will send his star rocketing even further.
He will be back later this year as he stars alongside Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in Jupiter Ascending, which is directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski.
He is also set to reunite with filmmaker Tom Hooper for The Danish Girl, which is an adaptation of the novel by David Ebershoff. This is Hooper's first film since Les Miserables and will also star Amber Heard and Alicia Vikander.
