Dwayne Johnson has revealed that Hobbs will break out of a maximum security prison in Fast & Furious 8.
Johnson is set to reprise Hobbs in the upcoming film and has already revealed to fans that his character was heading to jail - he released an image on his Instagram.
The actor has taken to Instagram again to tease fans a little more about the character's storyline this time around.
As well as releasing a new image from the film, Johnson wrote When our Fast & Furious writer Chris Morgan said to me months ago, 'How insane would it be if in Fast8, Hobbs was sentenced to the most hardcore maximum security prison in the world!?'
"To which I responded, 'How even more insane and FUN FOR THE FANS would it be if Hobbs said f**k this, I'm gettin' out... try and stop me'."
Filming on Fast 8 is still under way and will be the fourth film in the series for Johnson - we were introduced to the character of Hobbs in Fast & Furious 5 back in 2008. Since then, the actor has gone on to become a franchise favourite.
The film sees him reunite with Vin Diesel, while Oscar winners Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron are two of the big new additions to the cast list.
It is also all change in the director's chair as F. Gary Gray takes over the helm for the first time. Fast 8 is the first film for the director since Straight Outta Compton last year.
As for Johnson, he is back on the small screen in the new series of Ballers and has finished work on the new Baywatch movie.
The actor is set to lend his voice to the character of Maui in upcoming Disney film Moana and will star in the remake of Jumanji.
Fast & Furious 8 is released 14th April 2017.
