Warcraft is one of the most anticipated films of 2016 and is currently in a lengthy post-production process.

Jones is back in the director's chair for the film and has revealed that motion capture is a huge element of the movie's special effects. He revealed that there was a mix on working on sets as well as just with green screen.

Speaking to Wired, the director said: "Motion capture has become very specialized but also still just a tool of filmmaking. We tried to do a lot of large, in-camera sets so that we had an actual reality that the film was built on top of.

"Some of the time we had [actors doing motion capture] on location, some of the time we had them on set, sometimes there was green screen."

Warcraft is only the third feature film of Jones' directing career and comes after the success of Moon and Source Code - needless to say, Warcraft is the biggest movie of the director's career.

Jones has also teamed up with Charles Leavitt to pen the screenplay,

The movie is based on the popular computer game and sees Travis Fimmel, Robert Kazinsky, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, and Ben Foster all on the cast list.

Warcraft will be released next year.
