Doug Liman is believed to be in talks to direct an adaptation of Splinter Cell.
The movie is set to be based on video game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and will see Tom Hardy star.
As well as direct, Liman also looks set to produce the film alongside Basil Iwanyk, Jean-Julien Baronnet, and Dave Bartis.
This will mark the first time that Liman has teamed up with Hardy, who is set to play lead role Special Agent Sam Fisher.
Eric Singer - who wrote 2009 thriller 'The International', - is on board as screenwriter.
Liman will be back in the director's chair later this spring with Edge of Tomorrow; his first feature film since Fair Game.
Edge of Tomorrow is based on the book All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka and will star Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
As for Hardy, we are going to be seeing plenty of him this year with Locke, Child 44, The Drop and Mad Max: Fury Road all set for release.
