Don Jon is a movie that we are really looking forward to as Joseph Gordon Levitt makes his directorial debut.
Levitt has delivered some fantastic performances in front of the camera, but now he is set to show off his writing and directing skills with this new film.
Don Jon will sees him make his directing debut but he has also penned the screenplay and he will lead and all star cast.
The film was screened at the BFI London Film Festival last week and it is a movie that has been doing in credibly well on the festival circuit all year.
Levitt has assembled a terrific cast for the film as Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Tony Danza are all also on board.
Jon Martello (Gordon-Levitt) is a strong, handsome, good old fashioned guy. His buddies call him Don Jon due to his ability to "pull" a different woman every weekend, but even the finest fling doesn't compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography.
Barbara Sugarman (Johansson) is a bright, beautiful, good old fashioned girl. Raised on romantic Hollywood movies, she's determined to find her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset.
Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, Jon and Barbara struggle against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy in this unexpected comedy.
Don Jon looks set to show off Gordon-Levitt in a very different light and his star is set to climb even further.
