Don Cheadle loves the concern that fans have for his Marvel character War Machine.
Cheadle is set to reprise the role of James Rhodes aka War Machine in the upcoming and highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War.
While this is the first time that we have seen this character in the Captain America franchise, the trailer shows him looking a little worse for wear and lying in Iron Man's arms - provoking a wave of concern from fans.
Speaking to the Daily New, Cheadle said: "I'm on Twitter, so I've gotten a few people going, 'Rhodey better not be dead, son. I'm going to be so mad'. Or, 'I'm done with this thing if Rhodey's dead'."
He added: "But that's cool, I like that people get so upset about it. I like that in a Marvel movie people are able to evoke such emotion."
Cheadle is just one of the new faces in the Captain America franchise as Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Bettany are back as Iron Man, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and The Vision.
They will join Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, who reprise their roles as Captain America, Black Widow, Winter Solider and Falcon.
Civil War is set to kick of Phase 3 of Marvel films and sees Anthony and Joe Russo back in the director's chair. The duo steered The Winter Solider to critical and commercial success in 2014 and will take over the helm of Avengers: Infinity War from Joss Whedon.
As for Cheadle, he is also set to make his feature film directorial debut this month with Miles Ahead. As well as being in the director's chair, Cheadle will play jazz musician Miles Davis in the new biopic. He has also penned the film's screenplay.
Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April.
