Dominic Cooper has described Need For Speed as a 'dream'.
Cooper teams up with Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots this week for a big screen adaptation of computer game Need For Speed.
And Cooper admits that after watching Magnum PI, he has always dreamed of the chance of making a movie like this.
Speaking to the Press Association, the actor said: "This was one of those ridiculous jobs, what I've always dreamed of.
"Watching Magnum, as a child, driving his Ferrari 308GTS around, thinking, 'Please one day, allow that to happen', and then to be driving all those incredible super-cars was a dream."
Scott Waugh is in the director's chair for the film, and it marks the first collaboration between Cooper and the filmmaker.
Cooper has moved between film and TV projects already this year, having taken on the role of Ian Fleming in series Fleming.
He will reprise the role of Howard Stark in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and has completed work on Dracula Untold.
Cooper is currently working on Warcraft, another film based on a hit computer game.
Warcraft will see Duncan Jones in the director's chair, and it is already a hugely anticipated movie.
Need For Speed is released 12th March.
