Domhnall Gleeson says he is still 'coming to terms' with landing a role in Star Wars: Episode VII.
Gleeson was just one of the names who was announced on the cast list for the highly anticipated film earlier this week, alongside Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
Speaking to Dublin radio show 2FM, the actor said: "I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. It all happened really quickly for me.
"It was like the day before and then I'm at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. It was madness but it was great."
Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill will be reprising their roles of Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in the seventh film in the franchise.
Gleeson went on to say that he is too afraid of talking about the film, as he is nervous about giving something away.
"I'm afraid if I say anything I'll give away the plot of the whole movie. I've got two years of this ahead of me.
"The movie is released in December 2015 - that's the amount of time I have to keep my mouth shut!"
Star Wars: Episode VII will see J.J. Abrams in the director's chair, and filming is due to get underway shortly.
It is going to be a huge year as Gleeson is also set to star in Ex Machina and Unbroken, which is directed by Angelina Jolie.
Star Wars: Episode VII is released 18th December 2015.
