Djimon Hounsou is the latest name to join the cast of Tarzan.
Tarzan is being given a live-action makeover by filmmaker David Yates, starring Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie.
Deadline.com have reported that Hounsou is on board the project and is set to take on the role of Chief Mbonga.
Samuel L. Jackson is also set to play a comrade and Christoph Waltz has been cast as the villain.
The action will take place after Tarzan, who was raised in the African jungles by giant apes, has returned to London and is asked to investigate dodgy dealings around a mine by Queen Victoria.
Filming on Tarzan is set to get underway this summer, and the movie is scheduled to hit the big screen in 2016.
We are going to be seeing plenty of Hounsou on the big screen this year, as he has completed work on Seventh Son, Guardians of the Galaxy, and has lent his voice to How To Train Your Dragon 2.
He is currently filming Fast & Furious 7, and is one of the new faces on the cast list.
