Diego Luna is reportedly in talks for a lead role in 'Star Wars: Rogue One'.
Luna is wanted to appear in the Gareth Edwards-directed 'Star Wars' spin-off movie, which will also feature 'The Theory of Everything' actress Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed.
Diego, who appeared in the 2013 sci-fi movie 'Elysium', is wanted to take up a leading role alongside Felicity, Variety reports.
Meanwhile, at the recent Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, Gareth Edwards gave fans a few clues as to what they can expect from the much-anticipated spin-off.
He shared: "It's set in an era where there are no Jedi, or they're all but extinct.
"It's about the fact that God's not coming to save us. We're on our own - and we have to do this ourselves and turn around.
"The absence of the Jedi is omnipresent - it hangs over the whole movie - and it comes down to a group of individuals that don't have magical powers but have to somehow bring hope to the galaxy."
'Star Wars: Rogue One' is due to be released in December 2016, a year after the J.J. Abrams-directed 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
