Dianna Agron says she felt ‘intimidated’ by Robert De Niro when she met him for the first time at the audition for The Family.
Agron and De Niro play father and daughter in The Family and De Niro was there to read a scene with the actress during the audition process.
And while Agron was intimidated at first she admits that a couple of weeks into filming and she was more comfortable around her co-stars.
Speaking to Digital Spy she said: "I met Bob first and I didn't have the job yet. I was very quiet when I met him. We ran the scene and he was very lovely. I was very intimidated.
“By the time Michelle and Bob came to set I was meeting Michelle for the first time, Johnny [D'Leo, her on-screen brother] and I had been filming for two weeks so I felt a lot more comfortable.
"I knew I wasn't going to get fired because we'd shot too much already! Our meeting was much better second time around."
De Niro and Pfeiffer play husband and wife in the new film, which follows a Mafia family that is put into witness protection.
John D’Leo and Tommy Lee Jones are also on the cast list, while Luc Besson is back in the director’s chair for the film.
The Family marks the first big screen outing for Agron since I Am Number Four - she has been focusing on TV work in the form of hit show Glee.
A conspiracy on Jekyll Island is another movie project that is in the pipeline for the actress as she is set to team up with director Aram Rappaport.
The Family is released 22nd November.
