Dave Chappelle is best known for his comedy, especially with his recent Netflix special and time on Saturday Night Live, but the funny man is now the latest name to be linked to the upcoming A Star Is Born remake, also starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

With filming well underway, details surrounding Chappelle’s role have been revealed. He’ll be playing a man named Noodles, who’s been best friends with Cooper’s character for some time after the pair played music together in blues clubs.
As the third remake of the original, A Star Is Born will once again follow Gaga’s character Ally as she attempts to break into the entertainment industry, but struggles to make a name for herself. Seeking help from a veteran actor whose career is also struggling, the pair prop one another up as they battle for fame and success.
Recently, Gaga’s fans had the opportunity to star in the film if they attended her Coachella performance and dressed for a Country Western concert. Paying $10 for the privilege which would then go to the Born This Way foundation, the opportunity provided will likely make many Little Monsters stars of the big screen late next year.
A Star Is Born is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 28, 2018.
