Al Pacino has a couple of exciting new film projects on the horizon in 2015, and Danny Collins is the first that we are looking forward to.
Pacino is set to take on the title role in the new film, as the Oscar winner teams up writer and director Dan Fogelman for the first time.
Fogelman is best known for his writing work, with the likes of Crazy Stupid Love, Cars, and The Guilt Trip under his belt, but Danny Collins will mark his feature film directorial debut.
A brand new trailer for the film has been released and we have it for you to take a look at:
This may be a directorial debut for Fogelman, but that has not stopped him from bringing together a mouth-watering cast.
Pacino takes on the role of Danny Collins, and is joined on the cast by Annette Bening, Christopher Plummer, Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale, and Melissa Benoist.
Inspired by a true story, Al Pacino stars as Danny Collins, an ageing rock star who can't give up his hard-living ways.
But when his manager (Plummer) uncovers a 40-year-old undelivered letter written to him by John Lennon, Danny decides to change course and embarks on a heartfelt journey to rediscover his family and himself.
Danny Collins is a movie that has already been received well by the critics and I am looking forward to seeing Pacino take on this role.
Danny Collins is released 29th May.
