Danny Dyer has revealed that he wanted to 'get back to basics' with his acting and his new movie has allowed him to do just that.
The actor will be back on the big screen this week in his new movie deviation, which sees him team up with Hellboy II star Anna Walton.
And he admits that he liked the idea of just two actors carrying the movie and the story.
Speaking to FemaleFirst the actor said: I just thought that it was really brave filmmaking to just rely on two actors to keep the story going and keep it interesting with no gimmicks, there are not set pieces or stunts; it would make a really good play.
I just loved the idea of it because it is such a rare thing. I also just wanted to get back to basics and get back to acting really because it’s what I love to do."
It's been twelve months since we have seen Dyer on the big screen, Age of Heroes being his last movie role, but he has a busy 2012 ahead of him.
He is also set to star in Run To Your Wife and Freerunner this summer while The Stolen and Played are in the pipeline.
Deviation is released 24th February.
