Daniel Radcliffe has landed the role of Sebastian Coe in new film Gold.
The new biopic film will look at the rivalry between Coe and fellow middle-distance runner Steve Ovett in the years running up to the Moscow Olympics.
James Watkins will be in the director's chair for the film, and this will be his second project with Radcliffe after the success of The Woman In Black last year.
Simon Beaufoy and Will Davies are set to join forces to co-write the script.
Beaufoy spoke to the BBC about this project earlier this year saying: He told the BBC: "I hadn't realised how good it was until you dig into their past.
"They were fantastically different athletes and different people. And they rarely met... apart from on the track - but not very often, even on the track."
Coe and Ovett were two of the best middle distance runners that this country has ever produced, and their rivalry is one of the sport's best.
It has not yet been revealed who will play Ovett in the new film.
It has already been a very busy year for Radcliffe having completed work on Kill Your Darlings, Horns and The F World.
Shooting for 'Gold' is expected to kick off next April in the UK and Russia.
