Daniel Radcliffe does not want to follow in the footsteps of child stars who have gone off the rails.
Radcliffe says he is aware of so many young actors loosing their way, and is determined to keep himself focused on his work - he says that a film set is where he loves to be.
Radcliffe shot to fame playing Harry Potter, but he has a string of off beat projects coming up over the next year.
Speaking during a satellite radio interview the actor said: "I love being on a film set.
"Maybe there are some people out there that love premiere parties, I'm not one of them.
"My idea of fun is being on a film set for 12 hours a day and I think as long as that remains the focus, then generally it can go well.
"The thing is there are so many high-profile cases of people who started young and then screwed up."
We haven't see Potter on the big screen since the success of The Woman In Black at the beginning of 2012. He is new film Kill Your Darlings has been lighting up the big screen and will be released later this autumn.
He has also completed work on Horns and the F-Word. Last week it was announced that Radcliffe had landed the role of Sebastian Coe in Gold.
